DEADPOOL, YA KNOW, FOR KIDS!

You want to watch the uber violent foul mouthed Deadpool, but you have kids? You love 4th wall breaking, self deprecating, meta humor, but do not need the profanity? Oh yeah we got that too. Billed as "the Superhero Movie to End all Superhero Movies, Hopefully", Teen Titans Go, To The Movies promises to scratch that itch for you. And like Mr. Wilson, no topic is too sacred to poke a little fun at, except with a "G" rating.

Each episode of Teen Titans Go! is choc full deep cut references and Easter Eggs, that pay off for new fans and lifers like myself. Long time DC fans will punch the pause button so the can pour over the backgrounds, loaded with almost as much funny as the animated action in the foreground. A crowbar resting next to an Urn labeled Jason Todd in the Batcave is just one such example of the no holds barred look at the DC universe. The staff at Retro, Cool, Nerd has been loving Cartoon Network's hilarious current take on the super youths known as the Teen Titans ever since the show debuted in 2013. 5 years and over 200 episodes later, the Titans are headed to the big screen.

The team, compirised of Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven- voiced by Scott Menville, Hayden Walch, Greg Cipes, Khary Payton, and Tara Strong respectively- are tired of being sidekicks and have decided to head to Hollywood to get their own movie made in this recently released trailer.

Warner Brothers has this to say:

It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is. But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line.
