DISNEY"S "JUNGLE CRUISE" FIRST TRAILER

Well, here we have it. Disney’s The Jungle Cruise has just dropped the first official trailer. In it, Dwayne Johnson’s riverboat captain, Frank, is hired by Emily Blunt’s “Lara Croft” type character to travel the mighty Amazon in search of a rare flower. Johnson, apparently, runs an adventure style ride that might seem familiar to any Adventureland visitor.

Here's what Disney has to say about it:

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE is an adventure-filled, Amazon-jungle expedition starring Dwayne Johnson as the charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission. Also starring in the film are Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

What’s that you say? you are a little leary of another Disney movie based on a Theme park ride. Well let's check the core board real quick. The first Pirates Of Th Caribbean was, in my opinion, a well done offering. It touched on all the right notes from the actual ride, and was an entertaining movie. The Haunted Mansion, again in my opinion, failed for not doing the same. But hey, neither of those movies has mega stars Dwayne Johnson or Emily Blunt. This looks to be a High action romp that combines the ride, and new materiel seamlessly.

"Jungle Cruise" hits theaters July 24, 2020.
