CREEPSHOW IS CREEPING INTO SDCC2019
What nightmare could keep a young Retro, Cool, Nerd, such as myself awake at night shivering under my blankets on a cold rainy night? The thought of my horror comics coming to life and dragging into their Hell, for instance. Well, George A. Romero’s Creepshow did just that and more. Now, Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, is updating the franchise with a television anthology. To set things of, the stars and producers of the show will be presenting an exclusive sneak peek at San Diego Comic Con 2019. Sources close to the event say we can expect a premiere date announcement.
Scheduled for Fridy, July 19th, at 5:45 pm the Creepshow panelists include Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, Lucifer) andAdrienne Barbeau (1982’s Creepshow, The Fog), along with showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and author Joe Hill(NOS4A2). Shudder’s upcoming horror anthology series Creepshow, based on the iconic 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, stars David Arquette (Scream franchise), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Tobin Bell (Saw), Big Boi (Antwan Patton), Jeffrey Combs (Star Trek, Re-Animator), Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi), Bruce Davison (Longtime Companion, X-Men), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), Dana Gould (The Simpsons, Stan Against Evil), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, Lucifer) and DJ Qualls (The Man in the High Castle, Supernatural).
