'GOTHAM READS' PANEL AT COMIC-CON AT HOME

As a parent, and as a civilian, reading books to kids is a valuable experience. Books can stimulate their imaginations and provide a comfort in these challenging times. Now, in a world where we don’t really leave the house as much as we’d like, The Gotham Group has created the YouTube series ‘Gotham Reads.’ To date they have recruited over 100 authors, illustrators, public figures and celebrities to read books out loud for kids desperate for adventures that transport them from the confines of their homes.

At this year’s Comic-Con AT Home on Sunday, July 26 at 11am PT, the  TOP KIDS AUTHORS COME TOGETHER FOR GOTHAM READS panel welcomes Emmy® winning actor, producer and author HENRY WINKLER and writing partner LIN OLIVER  (co-authors of the NYT bestseller Alien Superstar), Caldecott Honor recipient TONY DITERLIZZI (The Spiderwick Chronicles); ANGELA DITERLIZZI (Some Bugs); CHRISTINA HAMMONDS REED (The Black Kids); SELWYN SEYFU HINDS (Washington Black and Prince of Cats screenwriter) and D.J. MacHALE (Pendragon).  Also on the panel are ‘Gotham Reads’ producers ELLEN GOLDSMITH-VEIN (The Maze Runner franchise) and ANDREW GELLER (1stAveMachine).  (More information can be found at @GothamReads.)

Lin Oliver (Executive Director of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) will moderate this panel of top authors discussing the power of the imagination, which book they for Gotham Reads and why, and the enduring power of storytelling.   @GothamReads
