Like the swallows to Capistrano, just a few miles north, nerds and pop-culture enthusiasts swarmed back to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2022, and the cosplay hordes were out in full force across the show floor and across the town. It has been a long & somewhat scary road since the rise of COVID forced the entire world into lockdown, canceling everything, including Comic Conventions, but now vaccine and masked attendees get to show off their creations. 2022 marked the first time since 2019 that SDCC was held in person at the San Diego Convention Center. Batman, Robin, Superman, Joker, She-Hulk, Moana-lorian, Austin-Vader, Lil Shazam, ThunderCats, Lucy Liu, Muppets, Madman, Mando & many more were represented by the fandom.
