ANIME EXPO 2023; RECAP
VIZ Media had a successful Anime Expo this year with their industry panel announcing their upcoming slate, panels for ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime and BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2, and signings with BLEACH’s Masakazu Morita and ZOM 100’s Kotro Takata! ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead World had it’s World Premiere on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 with special guest Kotaro Takata stopping by for a deep dive into the gory, gruesome details of drawing Zom 100. Fans were treated to a sneak peek of Episode 1, and a couple of lucky fans even scored some sweet freebies. Plus, ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead voice actors Zeno Robinson, Abby Trott, and Laura Post joined us on stage to chat about funny moments in the recording booth.
Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, based on the manga by creators Haro Aso and Kotaro Takata will stream on Hulu and Netflix in the U.S.
In the U.S, the series will simulcast on Hulu and Netflix premiering 2:00AM PDT, July 9th, 2023, with sunrise details for other streaming platforms to come. Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is a VIZ Media co-production alongside Shogakukan and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Japan, with VIZ Media representing the anime in the North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand territories.
VIZ Media held their Industry Panel on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023 with special guests Kotaro Takata (ZOM 100, artist) and Masakazu Morita (Bleach) joining the panel all the way from Japan. The BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Panel was held on Monday July 3rd, 2023 with special guest Masakazu Morita, the Japanese voice of Ichigo Kurosaki joining to discuss the end of a beloved franchise and what’s in store for Ichigo in Part 2. Fans were treated to a sneak peek of Episode 1 Part 2, and we had a few special announcements and giveaways for fans attending the event!
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 based on mangaka legend Tite Kubo’s manga will return to Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in select countries internationally on Saturday, July 8th, 2023
Part 2 will premiere with episode one at 7:30 AM PDT on Hulu, with the simulcast in English and Latin American Spanish; and on Star+ and Disney+ with English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Italian subtitles. VIZ Media holds worldwide rights (excluding Asia).
